Review of The Fourth Kind (2009) by Richard D — 07 Feb 2011
I found out that this movie was fake before I watched the 1/3rd of it I watched... and thought it would be a somewhat scary movie.. and incredibly this movie managed to get me a little bit creeped out about a white owl (especially when it showed it outside staring at the camera and turning its head to stay focused)... Of course, the biggest thing that kills this movie, is the fact that they tell the audience it's real... and in reality its all a hoax. It should be illegal to fabricate a story that didn't actually happen, and keep on implying that it's real (blair witch project, paranormal activity didn't do this).
This movie was more decieving then what the blair witch project did when that first came out, to be honest I couldn't care for the movie that much because I found it deceitful and pretty annoying...
The whole movie had interviews and recordings of the sessions, and the movie was obviously made on trying to make it look as realistic as possible, with the purpose of noone believe it to be fake.
If the people who made this movie weren't so stupid, they could have made this movie a great fictional alien/paranormal story... and not the boring knowingly fake story it was... (i had to stop watching I was bored).
I give 1 star to this movie, just for the owl... the owl deserved to be in a better movie, because I actually found that pretty creepy.
