The Fourth Kind tells the tale of Dr. Abigail Tyler and the most insane six days I think a person could ever have. It begins with her in Anchorage talking with her psychotherapist friend about her husband's murder and how she can't remember the face of his killer.

Once Abigail is back home is Nome, Alaska instead of taking a day or two off she goes right back to work with her patients. All three of her patients are seeing the same owl at night staring at them. Sensing that there is more to this oddest then the owl Abigail puts one of her patients, Tommy under hypnosis to unlock what Tommy isn't telling her or remembering.

The owl isn't an owl, it is something far more and causes Tommy to lose it. That night he holds his family hostage and demands to be told what a certain word that Abigail has never heard before means.

Not getting the answers he wants he kills his wife and two children and then himself. But that is just the beginning. When Abigail puts her next patient under hypnosis he contorts in ways no human should be able to and also remembers that the owl isn't an owl, but an alien about to abduct him.

This is a good movie to watch with a group of friends especially with a few friends that scare easily. Between the actors' protrayal of the "true events" and the actual footage that is shown right next to the actors' preformances this movie keeps you wondering what is out there in the universe and why is it picking on Alaska.
