Review of The Fourth Kind (2009) by Christopher S — 16 Jan 2013
The concept had potential, but the treatment is a muddled mess. A handful of effective scenes aren't enough to save an awkward script that takes itself way too seriously and does a shoddy job of trying to pull a "based on true events" vibe.
Milla Jovavich is surprisingly solid in the lead, but as her "true life" counterpart, Charlotte Milchard nearly single-handedly sinks the film. This one could have been fun, a disappointment.
