Review of The Fourth Kind (2009) by Doug J — 27 Jun 2013
I loved this film. When I saw it in the cinema it left me stunned. The integration of "archive" footage works really well to build suspense. The ultimate, inconclusive ending is appropriate for a film attempting to present itself as reality as, in real life, events don't always wrap themselves up conclusively.
Jovavich, Koteas, and Patton all give brilliant "reconstruction" performances.
I'd like to see more from this director.
