Review of The Four Times (2010) by Tim J — 25 Jun 2011
I enjoyed this, while some around me in the cinema were checking their watches. This is a film with a little humour, hardly any conventional narrative, maybe too many goats, but lots of time to meditate.
It seemed to be all about the balance of life in rural Calabria and the connectedness of things. This could have been a new chapter to The Tree of Wooden Clogs, another Italian film that considers the hardships and wonders of pastoral living.
