Review of The Four Feathers (2002) by Barb D — 13 Oct 2009
I think this movie has lost value among the average movie-goer crowd. It's long and rambling and leaves those with microwave taste in their mylar bag barfing. The laboriously tedious accounts of the sufferings of those involved will miss most palettes, I'm sure. Clearly NOT for everyone. For anyone who HAS fought to sustain or regain love, loyalty or footing in love and friendship... the performances by Health Ledger, Wes Bentley, and Djimon Hounsou is epic in scope.
"But what else could I do, God kept putting you in my path?" Is the line most valued. The inconvenience of life among the the lofty hope for love.
Did I say I like it.
