Review of The Four-Faced Liar (2010) by Alex P — 22 May 2011
I don't know if it's me or not, but every time I watch a movie with 2 or more characters I end up not being able to remember all their names. Usually this is a downfall of the film because I end up not caring, in The Four-Faced Liar, this was not the case.
I was unable to keep names in tow, but their characters were played to perfection (by four fresh faces), each nailing their relationship woes and the effects that follow. The worst part about a film that has 5 characters, is that one of them is going to end up alone, blame it on coincidence, but everytime this happens, I find myself relating to that character more than any of the others.
Still, putting my life aside, this movie is funny for those who understand witty humor, if you don't you'll just be turned off, this film has a specific demographic in mind and I feel it hits it right on.
The 20 something in NYC film has been done over and over, but each time I watch another I find myself wanting to go back.
