Review of The Fountain (2006) by Jaker. — 26 Nov 2006
It's not perfect. But what movie is? The Fountain is beautifully shot, well-acted, compelling entertainment. It's only hard to follow if you're used to having your stories spoon-fed to you, as some critics seem to be.
I can't recommend The Fountain universally, but a good metric is this: if you enjoyed Solaris, you'll like this one. If you thought Solaris was "pretentious" or "silly" for daring to put a little romance in their sci-fi (or vice-versa), then turn Deal or No Deal back on and skip this one.
