Every single other Darren Aronofsky film (Pi, Requiem for a Dream, The Wrestler, and Black Swan) had an amazing story with a interesting and appropriate visual style. This movie had a lame story with a sometimes cool, but mostly heavy-handed, visual style.
Everyone has their bad day though, and I'll still be first in line to see the next Aronofsky film when it comes out.
