Review of The Fountain (2006) by Josh V — 25 Sep 2014

I have to admit this has by far been my favorite movie I have ever seen since the first time that I saw it, it is deep, visually stunning, and has an amazing soundtrack. I am more surprised by the fact on here critics gave it such a low score, while viewers gave it a much higher rating.

As a self proclaimed movie buff 80's forward I would think it would be the opposite. Popcorn crowds generally don't gravitate to abstract and films that leave you thinking for hours or days after.

Stunning performances and just an outstanding film. Usually I trust critics more than viewers, however how so many critics can be so far off from the genius of this film is beyond me.
