Review of The Fountain (1988) by Zach M — 25 Jul 2012
This film moved me in a way that very few ever have. I can understand some of the criticism, but for me everything clicked. Its visual beauty is staggering. Hugh Jackman has never delivered a more powerful performance and the script is as heartbreaking as it is uplifting.
Not to mention the soundtrack! Take a step back and see it for the fantasy it is: a love story told in separate multiverses from the reality the characters live in. A simple tale of devotion and loss told in marvelous fashion.
