Review of The Fountain (1934) by Kamal H — 25 Dec 2012
As much as I admire this film, it would be difficult to convince someone why. It's not for everyone to enjoy. It does contain blatant flaws and muddle issues here and there. But the main barrier being that Aronofsky's brilliant vision is completely abstract.
You would be mistaken to walk into The Fountain searching for answers. It is instead meant to be thought provoking. That it is indeed. Not to mention it is complimented by Clint Mansell's masterful score.
