Review of The Founder (2016) by Lee H — 22 Feb 2017
Very interesting look into the history of McDonalds and it's supposed 'founder' who was nothing more than a bit of a scumbag and someone who stole the brand from a pair of brothers who introduced revolutionary idea of fast food.
This is similar in many ways to 'The Social Network' but instead of Facebook and internet revolution the topic in this is the emergence of the fast food giant from its beginnings in the 40's/50's onwards.
Micheal Keaton is great at making you feel both sorry for his character at the beginning and then feel horrified by his complete lack of scruples towards the end. The supporting cast is also excellent.
Worth a watch if you liked 'The Social Network'. 4 stars out of 5.
