Review of The Founder (2016) by Hassan I — 05 Sep 2017
Michael Keaton delivers a terrific performance in "The Founder", a fascinating biopic about the formation of McDonald's. A highly entertaining film, it traces the origins of the world's most famous fast-food chain.
Although it's a story that we've seen many times before, what makes it stand out is Michael Keaton's compelling performance. As Ray Kroc, Keaton delivers one of the best performances of his career.
Intense, charismatic and commanding, he excels in the role of a business tycoon. It's a performance that is worthy of awards and recognition. That being said, the rest of the film sadly isn't.
Although the movie is undeniably well-made, it doesn't go into as much detail as one would expect from a biopic. Nevertheless, "The Founder" is an enlightening film that is worth seeing if you are interested in how businesses work.
It is fascinating to see how the fast-food chain became the worldwide phenomenon it is today.
