Review of The Founder (2016) by Andrew C — 29 Jan 2017

I found this movie overall enjoyable to watch, very interesting and I'd recommend seeing it. Michael Keaton gave a great performance as Ray Kroc, a milkshake mixer machine salesman who is a dreamer and sees the golden opportunity that McDonald's in its infancy is, takes it as his own and proves to be a cut throat businessman building it into his empire and achieving the American Dream. I found the content of the story overall extremely interesting, especially given I hadn't previously known the root story of McDonald's and how it started. The other lead actors/actresses (Nick Offerman and etc.) also gave great performances. Not surprised by the Oscar buzz surrounding this film.

That being said, there are a couple parts of the movie that seemed to get a little slow for me which is why I give this 4 stars.
