Review of The Forgotten Bomb (2011) by Allen G — 12 Dec 2012
The forgotten bomb discusses a very real issue, but losses credibility by being biased, wildly speculative, and at times flat inaccurate. One of the worst inaccuracies comes when his interviewee asserts that the use of radiation in medicine was brought about by the government trying to show the beneficial side of radiation.
That's funny, I could have sworn medical use of radiation predates the manhattan project (first x-ray 1896, first cancer treatment 1933). I guess the government has time travel too.
