I guess people hated this because of the lack of explanations or they didn't like the twist. I liked it a lot though. The Forgotten feels like a throwback to older sci-fi or episodic serials like The Twilight Zone stretched into a feature length film.
I'd recommend it to anyone who thinks that sounds interesting.
