Review of The Forest (2016) by Cullen H — 18 Oct 2016

Holy crap! This movie was almost 2 and a half stars. This is bad. It does not succeed at being a good horror movie with predictable moments dumb characters and cheap jumpscares and it thinks its scarier than it is.

But it does succeed at being spine chillingly disturbing. It thinks it needs to end every scene with a jumpscare instead of leaving us with tension. This movie vastly disappointed me and I'm just being generous when I give it 3 stars.
