Review of The Foreigner (2017) by Ginak — 17 Oct 2017
Although I would have hesitated to go to this film had I known it was about the IRA (again), I don’t regret seeing it at all. The cast is excellent, including Jackie Chan in a non-stereotypical Jackie Chan role.
Likewise, Pierce Brosnan was able to play something other than a James Bond hero type – something with more depth and character. The plot was suspenseful and moved along briskly, and thanks to the skills of the British actors, every character had a personality and was not a stereotype.
I also enjoyed seeing how the British combat terrorism.
