Though I've never been a fan of plots focusing around Chinese mysticism, this one pulls it off with unexpected skill. Whereas movies like "The Myth" took the legend to ridiculous levels, "The Forbidden Kingdom" keeps it mostly grounded in reality, allowing you to believe most of what you're seeing.
Not to mention, you get to see Jackie Chan face off against Jet Li. With it exciting action scenes and great special effects, this martial arts epic has a unique look all its own.
