Review of The Forbidden Kingdom (2008) by Christian L — 17 Dec 2009

The long awaited collaboration between Jet Li and Jackie Chan. It's not too bad but it seems like some elements from past HK flicks have been used. I'm not a big fan of wire-fu and for me there's too much of it on display.

Jet Li is pretty bad at his English and the story is a tad predictable. Considering it's an American martial arts movie I still enjoyed it a lot. I especially liked Li Bingbing and Li Yifei - thought both of them were stunning.

I'm sure Jet and JC could come up with something far more original than this so I await to see if they'll team up again in the future.
