Defiantly shows what the movie wanted to, just not in great fashion. You have no attachment with the characters except Tommys dad. Not too much of a plot to work with so movie was very inconsistent. As a drama it was below average, as an action/adventure, it fails.
Direction by Love is really bad for the brawls, the last brawl was a huge let down. The adventure however is a bit more exciting, but again its inconsistent and drags on dumb scenes. Comedy was meh. Was expecting a bit more then what I saw.
