Review of The Foot Fist Way (2006) by Jon W — 12 Jul 2008
Danny McBride brings us a character who we a lot of the time, are not laughing with. But as the film goes on, and we gain a better insight into who he really is, the feeling changes. The awkward semi-pity laughs turn more genuine and you really feel for McBride.
He is both tragic and hilarious at times. A very small indie comedy that has more character than you would expect, and shows McBride as being a performer to watch for. I though that the movie was pretty good.
A lot of the humor is a little awkward, but I did find myself laughing out loud a bunch of times.
