Review of The Fog of War (2003) by Antonio R — 29 Nov 2005
We all like the idea of the Wizard of Oz: what is behind the curtain. What is really going on behind scenes. What was it like to be the one making the choices and decisions that would affect the entire world. Who is making the choices and why?
We also need to look back and learn. If you do not, you keep on stepping on that big pile of sh!@ that you have already step on once.
This chance to listen to the man that made so many of the choices that have shaped our generation. He is a major player who helped others in power make the choices that have affected my life and your life. He gets a chance to tell us why.... It is breathtaking in the fact that is so sincere and human. It is so clear and so dense in its message.
The errors are so huge. The mistakes are so real. History could have been so different. So many would have not died or more would have died than did.... by different choices. It is the big picture where you and I are just little ants.
You do not have a choice, you have to see this film. It does not matter if you like it or not. It is better than reading the book. You can see history in his eyes and gestures. It is required viewing.
