The Fog of War is essential viewing for any person who wants to try to understand people in power during wartime. Most people don't understand reality today, never mind the thought processes of people two, or three generations ago.
Foreign cultures two or three generations ago would be almost alien to us now. For King and Country? Worshipping the emporer? Too often people romantize and simplify decisions made in the past. Hopefully this movie will provide insight into how he thought, why deeds were done.
Would you have done any different? Watch this movie. This shouldn't be about agreeing or disagreeing. It should be about understanding.
