Review of The Fog of War (2003) by Fraser M — 08 Aug 2008
The movie works best when the director shows restraint. Dominos falling across Asia? Really? Thankfully, the information that Morris draws out of McNamara is truly fascinating -- we gain a better understanding of what it is like to hold so much power.
Everything just seems so FRAGILE; it makes life easier to imagine the higher-ups as these all-knowing demi-gods who will do what is best for the country, but here, we get a sense that that is far from the truth.
