Review of The Fog of War (2003) by Larry B — 01 Jun 2011
My second documentary on the plane today. Phenomenal in all respects--including the incredible footage and methodical calculations as to the firebombing of Tokyo and other Japanese cities in WWII. Megalomaniac though he almost certainly was, McNamara is at 85 incredibly cogent on the history of the 20th century--and in the end far more honest than most of the interviewees just reviewed in my previous posting on Inside Job.
Maybe it's simply distance in time.
