Review of The Fog (2005) by Don S — 15 Jul 2011
Remake of the '80s John Carpenter film. Better? Slightly. Though it is much less atmospheric, the acting is much better, and the story is a bit more coherent too. I liked the effects, from the fog itself to the lepers and the "ghosts." Even though the story is easy to follow, it doesn't grab you enough to completely enfold you in the character's circumstances. You just don't care about what happens to the majority of the folks. This is worth a look, if for nothing other than to compare it to the original if you've seen it.
