I have to say, as far as sequels go, The Fly II is disappointing. The story is carelessly thrown together, the horror doesn't even compare to Cronenberg's classical original with Jeff Goldblum and Brundlefly Mk.
2 doesn't even look like a fly, more like some shitty dinosaur/alien thing. What went wrong?! - Careless fucks and studio execs that's what. Don't fuck about with sequels.. this is what you get.
However! It's not toooo bad in the sense that it is actually watchable. The story does closely follow on from the original.. just quite badly.
