Review of The Fly II (1989) by Mike K — 22 Oct 2009
Nostalgic film for me, one of the first 18's I saw when I was younger. I liked this sequel, wasn't bad at all. I saw this before the first surprisingly. The effects were grusome but were so cool! I think the part I had trouble watching was the termination of the mutated dog that Martin bonded with.
Martin put the creature to sleep and I still find it hard to watch, mainly due to the whincing of the animal and Eric Stolz's first class performance as Martin. I know the dog was a puppet but so many elements made it work.
Christopher Young score is top notch, always been a fan. Chris Walas certainly delivered and was kinda thankful the series ended on a good note.
