Review of The Flowers of War (2011) by Kartik J — 24 May 2012
I really liked this movie. Christian Bale is excellent as a shameless westerner who develops a moral compass amidst the brutalities of war. Sure, it is anti-Jap and heavily pro-Chinese, but while the movie is heavily fictionalised, the events are shockingly true.
