Review of The Flowers of War (2011) by Marischa B — 10 Aug 2012
I was captivated and thought it was fantastic. It went on for quite a while, but I never lost interest or got bored at any point. The story has a lot of heart in such a dirty and grungy topic of war. Bale was great and captured the drunken man who doesn't have too much of a care to having a back story that will motivate him to do great things.
The ultimate sacrifice was also a touching moment and really brought the movie full circle and finished in a serious and touching way.
