Review of The Flowers of War (2011) by Jason M — 06 Oct 2012
Purposefully acted and beautifully produced, Flowers of War is an artistic blend of action and drama. On its surface Flowers is an aesthetic masterpiece, colorfully juxtaposing destruction with grace through careful cinematography.
More importantly, at its core lies a deep and at times heart-wrenching struggle for survival that sees its characters develop, unravel, and ultimately unite.
