Review of The Flower of My Secret (1995) by Alexander H — 05 Apr 2008
This was my first Almodovar film, and it was entertaining, but I feel that he has more to offer. He is very deliberate with his scene choices (such as the picture frame being thrown, or the pieces of newspaper in the sky during that protest).
He gives the sense that the film we keep going after you are gone--the opening credits are running during the first scene. An interesting story, but I feel that he has more to offer.
