Review of The Florida Project (2017) by Section20Mi6 — 18 Feb 2018
Baker delves into another overlooked subject in this award contender, featuring a rebellious and underprivileged single mother and her equally foul attitude but playful daughter. Although the story consists of a series of seemingly separated anecdotes, the emotional delivery by the actors and choice of setting significantly contrast the destitution of adult world and the fantasy of childhood.
Despite the fact that reality often persists, fantasy is always one form of perception.
