Review of The Flock (2007) by Lee W — 13 May 2008
What an intense film! Richard Gere deserves an Oscar for his fine portrayal of a man being forced into early retirement as a sex offender registrar administrator. I will be haunted by this film and his portrayal for a very long time.
Not since Anthony Hopkins portrayal of a serial killer has a film terrified and so engaged me. The film opens with a shocking statistic so don't miss the opening credits, Intense and memorable. I think this is Richard Gere's finest role proving the man can act, in this very challenging film.
Give the man an Oscar now... He deserves it!
