Review of The Five-Year Engagement (2012) by Drew B — 15 Aug 2013
If I would pick a romance movie that deals with the struggles between a man and a woman, Annie Hall would be one, there's also 500 Days of Summer. Now, this movie belongs in that same category. Don't believe the negativity here, it's that great.
The performances are not just great, but something believable that you want the two leads to have their wedding for god sakes! What I loved about it is how the film tackles one of the most toughest subject to put on cinema, and they made it just right, and with even less gross out scenes with some sex languges and F-You words are not much used, instead, we often see Tom and Violet together saying I love You on each other, it's that sweet, charming, and yet, convincing.
So, go on, see this right now!
