Review of The Fits (2016) by Tim M — 12 Feb 2017
There were kernels of a good movie here, but the maiden movie of Anna Rose Holmer left a lot to be desired. We're still not sure if she can write. The screenplay couldn't have been longer than three pages.
While the movie is visually illustrative the storytelling zigs when it should have zagged. The idea of group hysteria is fascinating. There is a mystery to this movie, but instead the focus is on a girl with a desire to fit in.
Royalty Hightower shines in her acting debut, but overall the film disappoints. Final Score: 4.5/10.
