Review of The Fisher King (1991) by Sean G — 10 Aug 2010
This is possibly one of the best films I have ever seen. It has charm, meaning, humor, and is touching in so many ways. The storyline and characters are real and down-to-earth for this modern day and age.
Rob Williams, Jeff Bridges, and Mercedes Ruehl are especially superb in this film. It is quirky, cute, and most of all, the message from beginning to end is delivered. Yet, you discover more than one message with this film.
You discover love, friendship, and the power of choosing to be selfless over self-absorbed. I think this film has so much to say, although at times it can appear strange, but it was a very creative way of spreading a message.
I think all will be able to appreciate this in some way.
