Review of The Fisher King (1991) by Gavin P — 16 Aug 2014
A pretty decent drama/redemption story. Williams plays a likeable, slightly deranged homeless man - with moments of lucidity and poignancy. When Bridges is drawn to him for reasons he somewhat contributed to, the two form an unlikely friendship.
Sure, there's a bit of drama and darkness in parts, but overall it has an uplifting ending. Very Monty Python's The Holy Grail - as expected from Gilliam - in parts, which is never a bad thing.
