My favorite Terry Gilliam movie. If you can make it past the total madness in the first third, you'll find an extremely funny romantic comedy. Then things get unbearably dark again, it's a total mindfuck.
I love it. A symphony of grime and mental illness. Amanda Plummer is one of the most underused comedic talents in the world, this movie proves it. Mercedes Ruehl is smoking hot and the coolest movie girlfriend of all time.
These two lead female characters both remind me of my Sibylle.
