Review of The First Wives Club (1996) by Michael T — 01 May 2008
From the same cinematic luminary that brought us Police Academy and Dudley Do-Right comes a film that is neither about female empowerment nor about friendship. This movie is all about one thing: making millions of dollars off middle-aged women, and in this aim only does it succeed. It has a few funny lines, which is why I don't give it *1/2.
Cameron _told_ me I would hate it...
P.S. The score is one of the most ridiculous I've heard in recent memory. I am completely incapable of accounting for its Oscar nomination.
