Just saw film again. What makes it so wonderful is the three stars: Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn and Diane Keaton. They are master comedians. The scene where they go into the ex-husband's apartment for example is hilarious.
Bette Midler throws herself on the bed weeping. When they are upstairs and afraid of getting caught, it's like a keystone cop scene. Then on the window washing platform, the screams and hijinks. Only those people could have pulled it off.
Such a funny movie.
