Review of The First Time (2012) by Marco S — 16 Mar 2013
This is a good movie. From the start of the movie, the direction that the movie goes is very ambitious. Jon Kasdan is able to capture the typical teenage drama/comedy set up while being a little bit inventive with the way how the opening scene was done.
The story is straightforward. You'll know where the story goes but it is still a joy to watch it get to that point. Britt Robertson and Dylan O'Brien do a great job as the two main characters.
Both were able to capture the innocence and awkwardness needed to make it believable. Both are standouts in my opinion but Britt Robertson was able to steal a few more scenes. Definitely worth the rent.
