I was excited to be told the story of the First Purge. Unfortunately, I did not get that from this movie. What I got was a pandering, one sided story of a street thug and his ex. I wanted to see what the fall out of the first purge was- why was there no first responders, did no one seek help in a hospital.
do you expect me to believe that no one in staten island, new York has no dogs. not one dog bark in 2 hours, I find that really hard to believe. I grew up in a tough neighborhood and everyone including my family has a dog.
they could have done so much better! tell a better story of how the usa came to this dark place. the only saving grace was that the americans did not turn on americans. the government, as in real life, turned on the americans.
