Well-crafted dramatic thriller based on the bestselling book about a law firm working with the mafia. Cruise showed his future acting chops in this film, and Hackman was fantastic as usual, as the corrupt lawyer who has a bit of a silver lining.
Drags a bit at times, but solid performances and strong writing keep this an entertaining film.
