Review of The Firm (1993) by Cheyne L — 16 Apr 2012
A classic star vehicle but with slightly more dimension than the usual fare .. however, it peaks early, revealing a little to heavily Mitch's (Tom Cruise) trump card in a small scene, and even in the end, Mitch and Wayne (Ed Harris), make fun of the simplicity of how Mitch turns the table on the all powerful 'Firm' .
. and although it's not aging quite well, with some questionable editing and a heavily '90s' sounding score, it's still and entertaining film that is worth a see for Cruise's performance alone .
. the best character in the bunch is Gene Hackman's, playing a tragic and compassionate and deadly man at the end of his rope ..
