Tom Cruise stars as a young lawyer who discovers corruption in his chosen law firm. The great Gene Hackman is one of the villains, and is the reason Cruise gives a decent performance. This is the first big novel by the great John Grisham, who tells the usual gripping thrilling story with surprising plot twists.
