Review of The Firm (1993) by Dario G — 11 Oct 2013
Kind of a 90's lawyer classic. A young just out of school lawyer gets hired by a small Memphis firm that happens to work for the mafia. The young lawyer is caught in no man's land. Turning in his employer means losing his licence as a lawyer, but staying at the firm my mean being arrested by the FBI.
It's the no win situation that gives the movie the required tension. Personally I like the movie and think it might be one of Tom Cruise's better acting performances. There should also be a significant shout out to the sound track.
The music really set the tone for the movie and helped create tension when necessary great work with the music.
