I've always been perplexed by the legal thriller craze of the 90s . . . what about the genre was so appealing to appealing to mass audiences? The endless law jargon? The predictable twists and turns? Regardless, "The Firm" is a prime example of everything that made so many of these films ultimately forgettable.
